Last Saturday afternoon, Trump Toronto hosted their Trump Wedding Showcase to give newly engaged couples and planners (like myself!) an idea of what a wedding held at the Trump would be like. I attended with fellow WPICC planner, Jessie Huang of Flair Weddings & Events.
When we entered the ceremony space and foyer on the 9th floor, the entrance was flanked by these beautiful trees decorated with fresh flowers, definitely eye-catching and a great way to set the tone for a wedding.
We were also greeted by a live band who played music in the background and added to a lovely atmosphere that afternoon at the Trump.
Next to the foyer area, was the banquet room that was where a wedding ceremony could take place, the aisle was dressed with flower arrangements and had a white canopy draped stage with lovely flower arrangements for the special couple to take their vows.
As we walked up the short flight of stairs, the first thing that caught my eye was the large sweet table set-up filled with an assortment of cakes, candy, chocolate, macarons, cookies, truffles and many more. I wasn't the only one who was oooohing and aaaahing over these delicious treats, but for me this was one of the big highlights of the open house.
I loved the level of detail that was put into each treat and this was all done by their in-house pastry chef, impressive!
Next to this space was the banquet hall filled with guest tables that showcased with a variety of decorative themes and floral arrangements. I have to admit that my favourite was the vintage theme. There were 3 different set-ups, each decorated and provided by a different company.
We didn't get a chance to meet the VIP guest and host Jane Dayus-Hinch of Wedding SOS, but I was impressed by the luxurious set-up and had a glimpse of what a wedding at Trump Toronto would feel like.
I especially loved the black chandeliers that were part of the hotel, they definitely resonated feelings of glamour and luxury.
